Calspan has the ability to capture events that occur in a split second to help engineers, researchers, government agencies and legal professionals record and analyze them. Fast moving objects can be recorded and viewed in slow motion at specified capture rates (measured in frames-per-second or fps). Video captured in this manner permits detailed visual and/or computerized motion analysis of consumer products, toys, vehicles and even human motions to better understand functionality and performance.

High speed video and motion analysis:

  • Maximum 10,000 fps
  • Monochrome 10 bit
  • Color depth up to 30 bit
  • Can also be utilized to determine speeds and displacement
