Conceived in the late 1960's and built in the early 1970's, Calspan's Tire Research Facility (TIRF) remains the premier indoor tire test facility in the world. The unique combination of speed and torque at TIRF enables cutting-edge research and robust data analysis. TIRF provides its customers with tire performance data under a variety of indoor test conditions. Customers can work with Calspan staff to design a unique test, selecting load, velocity, slip angle, inclination angle, slip ratio, etc. to deliver streamlined data for meaningful analysis.
