Calspan will be exhibiting at the 2019 EMS World Expo in New Orleans from October 16-18 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. As the largest EMS dedicated event in the world, the EMS World Expo brings together professionals from all aspects of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) care. This conference features an exhibit hall and offers classes on the tools, technologies and trends in prehospital care.

Calspan will be exhibiting at this conference to present our full vehicle crash testing capabilities for EMS industry professionals. In the event an ambulance is involved in a collision, standards have been put in place to ensure the safety of the paramedics, patients, and passengers from falling/sliding debris within the ambulance.

Calspan conducts both destructive and non-destructive crash testing at its safety research campus located in Buffalo, NY. Ambulance hardware, including equipment mounts, cabinets, passenger seats, and even compartment integrity can be tested on either our HYGE sled or in our state-of-the-art full vehicle crash test laboratory.

Calspan’s expert staff will be at booth 760 to discuss test protocols and procedures affecting EMS professionals, as well as vehicle and component suppliers. Our partners FERNO and EVS Ltd. will have equipment in the booth for testing demonstrations, showing examples of the types of products Calspan is capable of testing.
